•Title: Vanishing Girl

•Review: The book Vanishing Girl by Shane Peacock is very unpredictable. You think one thing will happen, and then another thing does. It is about a girl, Victoria Rathbone, who is a very wealthy, rich girl whose father is a king. Victoria has gotten kidnapped. Nobody knows how or why. Who is the person to solve this? Of course, Sherlock Holmes (in his younger years as a child). Sherlock breaks the rules, sneaks onto trains, and risks his life for a case that he is determined to solve. At one point, he thinks he has cracked the code, but the next day he turns out to be wrong in a way that is unthinkably puzzling. Victoria turns out safe, but not for more than a week. She gets kidnapped again, and this time the kidnappers rob her father of his money and famous paintings. Sherlock cannot turn a case like this down. He is now even more determined to solve the mystery. But when he figures out the crime, he discovers a truth that horrifies him.
